Rosepath is a weaving and a film. I selected two pieces of found footage the same way I choose yarn to weave cloth; considering color, texture, tension, and density. I printed the film strips onto vellum paper, assigning one as the warp and one as the weft, and then wove them together in the traditional “Rosepath” weaving pattern. I reanimated the footage by scanning the paper weaving into digital format one frame at a time. This film was projected at Fort Mason in San Francisco as part of the Fort Night series, curated by GAZE Film Series.
